It's like this: (hahahaha! natawa ba naman daw sa sarili) Me and pearlfields were supposed to get our UPGs from the register, just because we want to know who large our margin of passing the UPCAT was (hahahahaha). Our plan was to eat lunch, then go to the registrar's. I got out of class early, so I was walking to the UP-Katipunan stop and was halfway there when I pulled out my cellphone and saw that pearlfields had canceled because of a quiz/report/ek in english. Ooookay. Since I was already halfway and since none of my friends have the same schedule that I do, I decided to eat lunch in Katipunan and browse a few books in National first while waiting for a 3 o clock org meeting. So far so good, right? But wait! The worst is yet to come!
I arrived at National, raring to get my hands on some books. I was simultaneously holding my jacket, my comb, my filecase, and my ID (which I had just taken off because my school requires us to wear them everywhere in the campus grrr) in one hand. The filecase I surrendered to the baggage counter, the others I held onto while picking out books. I carried the whole lot to the chairs upstairs and flopped down. While idly turning the pages, I briefly noticed my ID eneveloped in the jacket beside me. Now after I got hungry and decided to eat, I got up and made sure that all my valuables were with me. Wallet? Comb (haha)? Baggage claim tag? ID? ID?!?!?!? It was gone! Well and completely gone! I emptied out my bag 5 times, frantically retraced my steps three times, going up and down the stairs like a maniac, but to no avail. It was well and truly gone. I looked aroudn the chair I was sitting and I could see no ID. Panicking, I asked the customer service counter if anyone had turned in an ID. The lady responded in the negative, but helpfully said that I should just leave my landline, name, and school, and she'd call me as soon as it was turned in. IF it was turned in.
So you see pearlfields, my losing my ID is entirely your fault! Grrrr you! Hahaha, joke. I know it's entirely my own fault that I did not place my ID in my bag like any sane person would have done. I know its my fault that in the 7 minutes or so I was looking for a book, that not once did I think to place my ID in my bag. I know its my fault that I didn't take care of it enough.
Now, I'm utterly and truly sad. Why? Because I just borrowed a library book this morning, and now I have to find my ID in two weeks in order to return it. If I'm not able to find it, I'll have to have a new one made, which is a hassle. But do you guys know what else is a hassle? Losing my UPIS ID strap (yes again!)!!!! Oh please Lord! Pero kung hindi talaga mahanap at walang makasoli- Affidavit of Loss and Pakapalan ng Mukha, hereeeeee I come!
